everything happens for a reason. except for things you fuck up by yourself

Day 113: this may seem a little out there for this blog, but i think the bold nature of the message matches its importance in life. if there’s one thing i have come to respect in a person (and strive for myself), it is the ability to own one’s mistakes. my mantra is that everything happens for a reason, but i don’t mean it to be used as an excuse for the things that didn’t happen to you but that you created for yourself. if you do wrong, the first step to making amends for it is to ADMIT it and be ready to face up to the consequences.

no matter what people tell you words and ideas can change the world

Day 100: one hundred days in and i hope that the words and ideas shared as part of this project are changing your world – i know they’re changing mine. we only have a small following compared to the whole world, but i think it’s important for us to all remember that you don’t have to change the WHOLE world to be making a positive difference. the small things you say and the small ideas you have can make the greatest difference, so never underestimate or undervalue them. thank you everyone for 100 days of amazing support so far.

i have decided to be happy because it is good for my health

Day 99: HAPPY EASTER!!!! i love this one because it reminds me that happiness isn’t just important for my mental state, it has a huge impact on the state of my body, health and life in general. on easter sunday in particular, i like this because if eating chocolate makes me happy, and being happy is good for my health, then eating chocolate is good for my health :) sometimes you need to indulge a little, and it will do more for the soul than being disciplined and rigid will do for your health (or waistline).
